Where to Find It #
Go to Pointics → Settings. The direct URL is /wp-admin/admin.php?page=pointics#/settings (e.g. /wp-admin/admin.php?page=pointics#/settings/branding, and so on), so a reload or a bookmark lands back where you were. An address naming a section your site cannot show falls back to General.
Step-by-Step Instructions #
Step 1: Open Settings #
Go to Pointics → Settings. A rail of sections sits on the left and the open section fills the rest of the screen. General opens first.
| Section | What it holds | When it appears |
|---|---|---|
| General | Master switch and point labels | Always |
| WooCommerce | Which order statuses move points | Only while WooCommerce is active |
| Branding | How the storefront launcher looks | Always |
| AI | Which service Pointics AI runs through | Only while the AI feature is on |
| Advanced | Extra widget controls (white-label) | Always |
| Data | What happens to your data on uninstall | Always |
Step 2: Set Your Global Options (General) #
| Field | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Enable/Disable Loyalty Program | Master on/off switch for the whole system | On |
| Points Singular Label (e.g. Point) | Singular word for one point | point |
| Points Plural Label (e.g. Points) | Plural word | points |
Both label fields go inert while the master switch is off, because they would be describing a program that is not running.
Step 3: Choose Your Order Status Rules (WooCommerce) #
| Field | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Award points on Order Status | Which order states pay points out | Processing, Completed |
| Revoke Points on Order Status | Which order states take them back | Cancelled, Refunded |
Both are multi-selects. The list of statuses comes from WooCommerce, so any custom status you have registered appears here too.
With WooCommerce inactive the section is hidden altogether, and your saved statuses are validated against a standard list instead: Pending payment, Processing, On hold, Completed, Cancelled, Refunded and Failed.
Like the labels, both pickers go inert while the loyalty program is off.
Step 4: Style the Widget (Branding) #
Six fields, with a live preview of the storefront launcher beside them.
| Field | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Program name | Free text | Pointic |
| Icon | Gift, Trophy, Discount, Diamond or Celebration | Gift |
| Primary Color | Eight swatches (Indigo, Violet, Pink, Amber, Emerald, Blue, Red, Teal) or any custom color | #8b5cf6 (Violet) |
| Button text color | White, Dark, or any custom color | #ffffff (White) |
| Display | Icon and text, Only icon, or Only text | Icon and text |
| Bottom Layout | Bottom right or Bottom left | Bottom right |
This is the same editor the setup wizard’s branding step shows, so what you pick during setup is what you edit here later.
Because a logged-out visitor sees the widget, these six values are deliberately visible to everyone.
